Metro Eagles Soar to the Playoffs

The Metropolitan High School made it to the playoffs with a 9-7 victory against last years champions. Javier Rosario (‘18)  made the game winning  four run home run in the final inning. He was responsible for two more runs and he scored the first two point at the beginning of the game.

The Metropolitan  H.S. boys record is 3-1. “I am proud of my boys,” Coach Passafiume said proudly. He also said they are a great group. Passafiume was proud of Javier and his work. Captain Jeremy Santos (‘16) felt happy that “the experience of playing this year after not playing last year” brought him new energy. Javier was “so happy that he gets to go to the playoffs. I couldn’t play because of health problems,” but now with a clean bill of health Javier is playing extremely well.

A Jahn Stepney (‘16) said that “last year many students couldn’t play due to grades but this year the group works really well” and everyone is trying to stay passing. “We’re doing what we have to do in class and on the field.”
